Slum SurvivorThe Linx Project organised a sponsored event called 'Slum Survivor' at Wincanton Baptist Church on the week-end of 19th-21st October. The aim of the week-end was to 'Spend a week-end the way a billion spend a lifetime'. Those that participated spent the week-end in a slum, that they built themselves out of wooden pallets, cardboard and tarpaulins. Participants were limited to very basis food and no luxuries. Those who participated managed to raise a fantastic
£420.77. Well done to all. The money will be used to support some amazing
projects and people who are working in areas of real need throughout the world.
Youth Centre OpeningOn Saturday 17th March, David Heath MP opened the new Youth Centre and Linx Project Office at 8a Market Place, Wincanton.
